Here are a few hotels that I would recommend if you want to stay on the eastside. Unfortunately, there is a big conference in town on the same weekend, so the availability of hotels on the eastside is very limited. Call the hotels for the best information on availability (links to the hotels are listed).
The Residence Inn by Marriott: This hotel would by good for families since all their rooms are suites that have a kitchenette and a sofa sleeper, and they include a breakfast buffet. The hotel also has free parking, and is close to restaurants and shopping at Lloyd Center Mall. From the MAX stop the hotel is just east of the movie theater.
Red Lion Hotel- Convention Center: This is a decent hotel that has a restaurant and bar within the hotel. It is right off the MAX line at the Convention Center stop, but parking is extra if you are driving.
Courtyard by Marriott: This is a very nice new hotel that has a restaurant, bar, indoor swimming pool, and spa. It is two blocks north of the Convention Center MAX stop, and parking is extra.
